The opening carries more environmental weight than its size suggests: metals and finishes, electrified power draw, and a replacement cycle measured in decades. We teach the industry to read that weight. Transparency documents, EPDs, HPDs, and Declare labels, run as a dedicated elective in Hardware 101, and the CE catalog carries courses on the health and carbon impacts of door hardware and on preserving sustainability performance across the facility lifecycle.

There are over six hundred sustainability certifications in the market today. Our work is teaching the industry to sort that signal from that noise: which documents carry weight in a specification, which claims survive scrutiny, and where the real carbon and health decisions in an opening get made.
